Minneapolis & Northern Railway McKeen cars 8½x11 postcard repro

Description

The Minnepolis & Northern Railway, originally planned as an electrified line, opened service to Anoka on May 29, 1913. It is believed that this view represents a scene from its first day of service since both McKeen motor cars appear to be coupled together. That's the train's crew standing on the ground, with the fireman (left) out oiling the equipment. The corporate life of the M&N was short-lived, with its successor, the Minneapolis, Anoka & Cuyuna Range Railroad, commencing electric operations in 1915.
This is a high-resolution digital scan of an original turn-of-the-century postcard that has been digitally hand retouched to eliminate most blemishes in the original postcard. The stenciled overprint on the Ebay image does not appear on your finished print.
