Burning Test to Identify  Real Leather
-- Although we don't recommend you to perform this, but this  is just a differentiator test. If you lit a candle under our leather knob it will not catch fire but emits fleshy pong, see picture. Whereas, faux leather burns with a flame and produce smell of burning plastic.

Installation Guide
BMW manual shift knob is easy to replace, the only tool you need is your hands.
OEM BMW shift knob is simply pressed into a groove at the top of the shift shaft.
To remove the old knob -- Pull straight off, no twisting or bending, just pull  perfectly straight off the end of the shifter.
WARNING
.... Some knobs are so tight and might cause you to hit your face when taking it off, put the shifter in 2nd or 4th and pull slowly is the safest way.
To install the new knob -- Slide it over the shift lever and press down firmly, you will feel the knob 'snap' into place.
Our gear knob is designed to be a very secure fit, if you can not fully click it  into position, please smear some Vaseline petroleum jelly or lubricating oil then apply good downward pressure to enable correct fitment.
